  Hello All!!! I would like to re-start this blog by allowing you to get to know the photographer behind the images you all love. If there is one thing I've noticed as of late, people are more willing to follow your work and purchase prints from someone they can relate to and know. They want to know, who the artist is. In todays era of AI, photography can be what ever you want it to be. If you want a photo of a beautiful sunset over the mountains to hang on your wall, heck, just a few keystrokes in the right program and poof, there it is on your computer and ready to print. In some cases, the image may even be better than many photographers can produce themselves. However, that's not what most people, (looking for art), are looking for, they want an honest piece of art from a real person and not from some computer program. That's where getting to know the photographer/artist and/or meeting them in person will do. I believe, that's how more and more people will be buying

2020 Photographic Favorites (Part 2)

  Hello again and welcome back to part 2 of my 2020 favorites. If you missed Part 1, you can find it here 2020 Favorites (Part 1) . As with part 1, these photos are in no particular order, so lets get to it. This first image, I had in mind for quite a while, just needed the right sky for it. The right sky just happened to be what we as photographers don't really look for, blue sky and white puffy clouds. Finally the day came where I actually remembered this shot, the sky was nice and blue, the clouds puffy white and to the north. I also knew, I wanted all this to make a nice B&W image. What I like about this image is the semitry and high contrast between the white sand and clouds and the blue sky and deep shadows of the beach pavilions, along with the leading line of the walkway.  This was my first ever attempt at trying to capture lightning. I knew the basics on how to do it, the opportunity just never presented it's self without pouring rain at the same time. On this part

Art in Destruction

  On this Anniversary month of Hurricane Sally, I would like to breach the subject of Art in Destruction. I also want to begin by saying I totally feel for, and cannot imagine how heartbreaking it can be to have everything you ever worked for be wiped out and or destroyed in an event like Sally. What I would like to do, is talk about how the aftermath can be captured in an artistic way, through paintings, drawings or as in my case Photography.  In the photos posted here, I took a trip over to Pensacola, Florida,  one of the hardest hit areas of Sally to capture these images of the damaged fishing fleet.   Through good composition, camera setting and post processing, I was able to give an artistic view of Sally's aftermath here. You will also notice, that most all the images were done in Black and White, this was my artistic take on the scene, finding B&W portrays what happened here so much better than color.
